Requiem

[Theatrical Trailer for Requiem for a Dream, 2000, Darren Aronofsky]
I first was interested in the movie from hearing its soundtrack online; specifically, Clint Mansell's Lux Aeterna. Look it up; I'll try to post a link.
But, the movie turned out to be so much more than just a good soundtrack.
It's a startlingly humanistic story that follows our characters from their greatest heights and aspirations into the depths of hell created by each one's addictions; showing us the potential of each of their lives, and how each was cut short; it pulls you into deep associations with each character, sharing parts of their lives, then drags you along with them down the long, dark road to oblivion.
Yes, it's late as i'm writing this =)
But it was late when i watched the movie, too.
Go see it. Understand for yourself, draw your own thoughts and conclusions.
It will stick with you for along time.

As [Starring actor Jared] Leto says.
"It's a horrifying, provocative, insane film, and if people want something a little darker and deeper than the average fare out there, this is a film you have to see."
